Carol
I teach an undogmatic open style – a fusion of modern understanding of the body and ancient wisdom.
I am driven by a fascination with anatomy, an urge to ask “why”, the joy of movement, and the desire to make yoga uncomplicated, adaptable, and relevant.
I draw from various lives I’ve led off the mat – acting, dancing, presenting – and bring a unique perspective to those seeking more from yoga than just making pretty figures.
With me, expect creative, effective, and clearly structured yoga classes that focus on balancing flexibility and strength; physically and mentally.
My yoga classes have a different theme each week and a new sequence each time. What they all have in common: dynamic flow, prolonged holding, intelligent alignment, anatomical accuracy, focus on individuality, and integrity of the postures rather than greatest possible ‘depth’.
I believe that yoga is a personal practice of self-exploration and self-recognition, not self-optimization. Whether you’ve been at it for a long time, are practicing for the first time, or anything in between… yoga provides many paths for all of us to challenge and inspire ourselves at the same time.
